Founded in June 2020 by Gilberto Laia, GMV Envios has become an authorized agent specializing in shipments to Brazil.

In just three years, it has achieved its position as a market leader, serving over 1800 forwarders and personal shoppers from the USA and Canada.

Gilberto Laia

Story of the Founder of GMV Envios

Gilberto Laia is the founder of GMV Envios and has an 11-year history in the import market. At the invitation of Marcio Freitas, Vice President of Operations at Home Delivery, he founded GMV in May 2020 to serve forwarders and personal shoppers from the USA and Canada.

Chronology of Operation

  • 2012-2013: Sales of imported products in Brazil for retail
  • 2014-2020: Prominent presence on e-commerce platforms in the USA, such as eBay and Amazon.
  • 2014-2020: Wholesale sales to Brazil, including renowned products like Aussie, Silicon Mix, Ageless, and Colic Calm.
  • 2018-2019: Providing logistical services for importers on Amazon FBA.
  • 2014-2020: Package forwarding, consolidating its presence in the market.
  • 2019-2020: Atendimento especializado a redirecionadores através da USPS.
  • 2020: Migration of service for Forwarders and Personal Shoppers from USPS to a Carrier

  • 2018: The only Brazilian to be invited to enter the American Customs of Miami.
  • 2019-2020: Serving more than 50 forwarders through USPS.
  • 2023: Impressive milestone of serving 1,800 Personal Shoppers and Forwarders across the entire territory of the USA and Canada.
  • 2020-2022: Three consecutive awards from Home Delivery in recognition of excellence and outstanding results.
  • 2022-2023: Invitation to participate in the E-commerce Brasil forum by the American Commercial Department, being at the booth of the American consulate for two consecutive years.
  • 2023: Honored to be invited by the Consulate of the United States of America in Brazil to an exclusive cocktail party at the residence of the Consul General, celebrating the visit of Arun Venkataraman, Director General of American Commerce.
